My friend is trying to convince me that living the paleo lifestyle is the way to go. While I won't jump on that bandwagon I did want to make a healthier B.Squash soup without the butter and heavy cream or potatoes. This recipe is paleo, body building, atkins, southbeach, and my personal favorite - low calorie for a general healthy lifestyle. Plus, its jam packed with vitamins and veggies and if you leave out the sausage you've got a vegetarian side under 100 calories! Even with the meat we are talking 150 calories a serving.

189 calories per scone with 6 grams of protein! Can't argue with that. Super quick and easy to make as well.

Creamy Meaty Harvest Stew

Awesome creamy and hearty soup that makes an entire meal in under 300 calories.

Other options: ditch the meat for a creamy and thick veggie meat or better yet, use a really flavorful or spicy sausage/chorizo. You get twice the flavor but can get away with half the meat.

Chinsuko - Okinawan Shortbread

400 year old tradition! Simple and delicious. Not typically "healthy" but small enough to not break your Spark calorie budget. Great to have a single cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a reasonable dessert treat!

Delicious protein kick under 225 calories early in the morning - and just as fast as driving to McD's to pick up the real (super unhealthy) thing! Cut out the slice of deli meat for vegetarian delight and to save about 30-50 calories.

Amber's Garbanzo Chickpea Extravaganza

I actually got the basics of this recipe when I went to a tops meeting with my mother in law! Get em crispy enough and they are soo tasty! Like eating chips or popcorn but without most of the guilt because they are so jam packed with protein and only have under 200 calories a serving. It feeds four as an appetizer but I'm not gonna lie, I've sat down and had em for lunch and ate an entire batch! They even have a good amont of fiber so enjoy!

Creamy Skillet Chicken Alfredo w/ Veggies

A great way to splurge for some cheesy alfredo goodness while still getting something from every food group -- AND loads of veggies! Eat with whole wheat past and voila!!
