I whipped this up to put on my tilapia tacos. The inspiration came from lack of sour cream, lack of desire to go to the store, oh and lack of $ (pay day is tomorrow).
I'm definitely going to play around with this after I go shopping - maybe add some cilantro or something..
I decided that it would be not only more fun, but more economical, to make my own hummus. This recipe makes about 3 or 4 cups, and with a serving size of 2 Tbsp, that's alot!
As far as cost effectiveness, it actually turned out to be pretty tit for tat, but it was more fun to make it than to buy it!
Decided to go vegetarian, and I just kind of threw this together today. I think it's pretty good for just kind of winging it. There's always room for improvement, but over all I am please with the way it turned out
My mom has made this for years. It's a favorite in our house, and it's so easy to prepare. You make it in the crock pot, so you can put it on in the morning before work, and by the time you get home it's done. I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that it's a relatively low-cal/low-fat meal! And so delicious. The pork chops are so tender, they pretty much fall apart.
