Salsa Verde

Grilling the veggies first is something a friend of mine did. I make this once a week. The whole family loves it and we eat it on everything.

Fat Free Black Bean Dip

Tastes way better than anything you're going to buy at the store! Sazon Goya can be found in Mexican food section of supermarket.

*Note: There are trace amounts of fat that are naturally occurring in the beans. If you eat multiple servings please recalculate to get exact amount of fat.

Quick Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes

Using pancake mix and blueberry flavored applesauce makes this a great tasting, quick, and filling breakfast!

**Quick and Yummy Salsa**

This is very quick and much cheaper than store-bought salsa. You don't have to cook it or blend it, but I prefer a smooth salsa.

Regina's Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza

This is NOT a low-cal recipe. It is, however, excellent to eat and one slice is a meal.

Fruit and Nut Oatmeal Cookies/Bars

These cookies are like eating an apple crisp! They're a wonderful snack/treat. They're super healthy, too. For those cutting sugar, try with splenda for baking or brown sugar splenda. They are a bit sweet, so you could cut the sugar by half and they would still be excellent!

chinese chicken for sauce

this chicken can be finished in any sauce. the cornstarch helps thicken whatever you pour over it

Hungry Girl Southwestern Egg Rolls

Got this from the Hungry Girl 200 recipes under 200 calories cookbook. My husband liked it and he hates "diet" food!

Ginger Crinkles from Food Network

The original recipe uses some ingredients I didn't have, like turbinado sugar. I adapted the recipe here based on what I had on hand. These cookies are AWESOME!!! If you like ginger snaps, you'll love these. Mine turned out thicker than the ones pictured of the FN website. They are crisp on the outside and slightly chewy in the middle...just like the perfect ginger snap!

Fabulously Easy Wheat Pita Bread

This recipe is adapted from one I found on Food Network's website. While they use twice as much white flour as wheat, I decided to increase the wheat flour for health benefits. If you've never made fresh pita bread, this is the recipe to try! There are a lot of steps, but considering bread recipes, this is not very dificult.
