Make this easy and delicious soup with pre-packaged mashed potatoes and chicken broth. Make this soup in the fall and freeze for eating throughout winter - if it lasts that long.
Pillsbury's easy-to-bake bar inspired by a popular Mexican pastry combines flaky crescents and a sweet cream cheese filling. You can reduce the calories by using reduced-fat substitutions, but this recipe is for special occasions and has amazing flavor.
Use a frozen crab cake as a quick and easy starter for crab stuffed mushrooms. I highly recommend Schwan's Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, but check your grocer's freezer.

"A quick, easy chicken recipe. Even finicky people will eat it. As it bakes, the garlic and sugar will melt into a sweet glaze. Customize with your favorite herbs or spices. Recipe has been adjusted over time based on food.com comments."
This is the first guacamole I've actually liked. A friend made it for a birthday party and I got the recipe from her.
Straight from the Jumpstart to Skinny book. I"m including the full recipe for those that want to alter it. Remember that Bob doesn't count vegetables from the list towards calories. If you want the values from the book, someone has already entered the items, or just copy the calories from the book:
265 calories, 27g protein, 25g carbs, 4g fat, 7g fiber
I can't get the calories quite right, based on what chicken entry is used. The closest I could get was using "Perdue Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast, 1 filet, 4.8 oz.", which gives this recipe the total calorie count of 140 instead of Bob's 134.
I love to cook up a batch of chicken breast on the weekend to be used as needed. Be careful not to keep it in the fridge for too long. I would estimate 3-4 days, tops.
I like to shred or slice the chicken to use in wraps or on salads for lunch at work. Pull out enough to last for a few days then portion and freeze the rest for later.

Trade traditional burger buns for buttery crescent rolls for a new twist on sloppy joes. Uses the Spark People top-rated Diet Coke Sloppy Joes recipe.
I was bored and threw a few things together. It was delicious. You could increase this recipe for more people or to cook extra chicken for leftovers.
I love a brie wheel for apples and decided to make a low-cal snack alternative. I wanted a slight butter flavor and have some wonderful butter-infused olive oil from a local olive oil store. You could use a spritz of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter for a substitute. It's about 20 calories for the olive oil used in the nutritional calculator.
I got this recipe from my local olive oil shop. I entered standard olive oil into the nutritional information since small shops don't provide that. You can substitute.
My friend Kelly makes this every time she has people over to watch football. It's a family tradition for her and everyone LOVES it. I like that this recipe doesn't have beans or any veggies. It's just meat and cheese. Yummy!
Old-school vodka martinis are updated for the holidays with a splash of tangy cranberry and sweet raspberry flavor.
Recipe from skiptomylou.org.
This picture doesn't do it justice. There is a nice broth that coats the noodles and we load the top with shredded cheese. You can even add a little crunch with corn chips and spice it up with chopped onions on top!
Our favorite way to eat it is over corn chips or tortillas with cheddar cheese and sour cream.
Modified from a recipe found on Sparkpeople. Instead of lettuce, I like rice in my Gyro.
Possibly one of the best cakes I've ever eaten. If I could imagine what heaven would be like, this cake would be it.
My Kentucky family makes this and it's a cool, delicious cake that's dense and sweet. It's great in the summer or anytime.
Recipe from Real Simple Magazine. Great for picnics. chicken can be served hot, room temperature, or chilled. (Just beware of bacteria. Don't leave at room temperature too long.)
This chicken is also great to pack in kids' lunches.
I took a recipe I found on here and altered it to my taste. It's interesting. I don't love it, but it's something different, especially for 207 calories. I'll try it again and play with cooking times.
This recipe is great for an appetizer or picnic. It came from Real Simple magazine.
Easy to make and take to a picnic! Or just keep them in the fridge to encourage the family to eat more fruit.
From the Allrecipes.com website:
"Fresh grouper is my absolute favorite. It is a mild fish and this recipe may entice even those who don't like fish to make it a favorite. The recipe is super easy and can be served with a minimum preparation and cooking time. Perfect for a warm summer evening supper. Garnish with lemon twists and parsley before serving."
"Chicken Noodle Soup without the broth -- very cozy with the melted mozzarella on top."
Adapted from Chicken Noodle Casserole I on Allrecipes.
For the calorie count, I used Barilla Plus Rotini pasta, 98% FF soups and Kraft 2% shredded mozzarella.
This cheese sauce recipe is for the Chicken Pot Pockets recipe that I entered. I separated the two so that users (including myself) can specify how much cheese we put on our food. It's also great over broccoli. I included the brands and reduced fat info in the ingredient list to account for the calorie count.
These Pot Pockets are supposed to be served with the Chicken Pot Pockets Cheese Sauce recipe that I've entered in here. I entered that separately so the calories can be measured separately. The cheese sauce really makes the recipe. I highly recommend it.
Slightly modified from Kraft foods Luscious Four-Layer Pumpkin Cake. Delicious!! Makes a great change from pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving.
Yummy and easy pudding treat to get you and your kids to eat some calcium.
This is a modified version of the popular Pumpkin Muffin recipe here on Spark People. I didn't like the spice cake. I use Carrot cake instead. Also, it was too dry, so I add applesauce and water. We also like cream cheese icing and use that on our muffins. We use a half container for a batch of 18 muffins.
Great little treat when you're craving pumpkin pie. You don't have to make a whole pie! Also high protein. We added the protein powder to sweeten it and add some protein. You could add some splenda to sweeten it if you like.
The 2 tsp of protein powder here contain a total of 15 calories, 0.3 g of fat, 0.3 g of sugar and 3 g of protein. (divide by 2 to get per-serving)
Recipe Adapted from a recipe found on here.
I use Cream of Mushroom soup instead of Cream of chicken. It makes the sauce more gravy-like. Also, I don't like the rice calculated into the calorie count. Sometimes I might use noodles, rice, or neither. Sometimes I just eat this with vegetables. Also, I essentially use half the cream cheese in the recipe. It cuts down on the fat and I think it's a strong enough flavor that even with half as much I can enjoy it.
You can half this recipe.
Easy Italian Chicken Recipe for the Pampered Chef Deep Covered Baker
Calories are calculated for 2 TBsp of dressing per serving since most of the dressing will be left in the bottom of the dish when serving.
This recipe for Smores Brownies is adjusted slightly to be reduced fat. Instead of using a brownie mix, use devils food cake mix made with pumpkin instead of oil. Use reduced fat Graham Crackers. This is still a sweet and tasty dessert, but these little tweaks make it not AS bad for you.
(I'm including the brands I used to calculate the calories)
This recipe is made using the Pampered Chef Deep Covered Baker and is made in the microwave from frozen Chicken breasts.
I modified the Bachelor's Roast recipe intended for the Pampered Chef Deep Covered Baker for chicken and to be used in the microwave. You could alter this for the oven if you like.
This recipe is converted from oven baking to microwaveable in the Pampered Chef Deep Covered Baker.
This cool, creamy spread makes great sandwiches for picnics. Adjust the garlic and onion powder to taste. I also recommend spreading it onto sandwiches before it cools completely and making sandwiches ahead of time if you have to make a large batch for a picnic. If you're just making a small batch for home, you can spread a sandwich for yourself ok.
I created this recipe a couple of years ago for a family reunion. I was SOOO tired of eating ham salad sandwiches!
This recipe comes from the Minute Rice website. It's quick and easy to make, even after you get home from work at night. It also tastes good and is a good way to get the kids to eat their veggies.
From minuterice.com but altered to contain healthier ingredients like olive oil and Healthy Request soup.
This easy to make and very tasty fudge is hard to mess up. The best trick is to let it sit for 2 weeks before serving. Good luck with that!
Low Fat and fairly low Calorie cake. Makes LARGE pieces and is great with Light Cool Whip on it!
