This recipe is a bit different from the standard chicken and gravy recipes on this site. It's a healthier version. The beans give this recipe richness, without all the fat of regular gravy.
Comfort food that's yummy, but healthy. It's like beef stew but slightly modified with chicken.
This is my modified version of a member-submitted recipe: Slow-Cooker Salsa Chicken. Instead of a full pkg of taco seasoning I used 1/2 the pkt and did away with the sour cream altogether. I found that it was creamy enough without it.
This is a slightly spicy and very yummy dish that's cooked island-style. Can be eaten alone or with another vegetable or meat. ENJOY!
