Recipes I've Shared:
The original recipe also calls for 2 medium sweet red peppers (chopped), but I didn't have them on-hand when I made it and I wanted to get the recipe entered so I could calculate my nutrition. If you add the peppers, don't forget to add the calories.
I plan to serve this with a salad and low-fat pierogies.

Taken from the back of the Quaker Chocolate Crunch Rice Cakes package and modified by adding almonds.
Adapted from "Harvest Sausage & Vegetable Casserole" in "Betty Crocker Slow Cooker Meals". I substituted Lite Kielbasa for Smoked Turkey Sausage, which was in the original recipe. Photo courtesy of "Betty Crocker Slow Cooker Meals".
Adapted from my grandmother's recipe.
Adapted from Honey Mustard Teriyaki Chicken, from the booklet, "Meals Made Easy with Grey Poupon Mustard". I served this with steamed sugar snap peas; brown rice; and spinach, cucumber, and mandarin orange salad.
This recipe was adapted from another Cabbage Vegetable Soup recipe on SparkPeople. I decreased the cabbage and added in some spices and a can of chicken broth.
I adapted this recipe from "Sloppy Joe Stew", found in "The Everything One-Pot Cookbook". The original recipe was made with ground beef, more potato, and salt, but no basil or garlic. I wanted to add some taste and make a lighter version, more consistent with my new healthy lifestyle. The original was intended for stovetop cooking, but I made it in my crockpot. Bon Apetit!
Easy, tasty, filling, and portable
