My version of a "Squidoo" website recipe. As the website promises, these are filled with fruity, nutty goodness. It's left up to the baker for what fruits and nuts to use. I chose dried apricots, prunes and dried cherries. Splendid combination! Much better than store-bought granola! Only 68 calories per cookie!
I adjusted a "SimplyRecipes" bread to lower fat and calories.
I modified a Better Homes & Gardens recipe to make it lower in calories and to use ingredients I had at home. I served this tenderloin with roasted Alexia Sweet Potatoes and roasted green & yellow whole beans and carrots (frozen mix). I spread the veggies in a single layer on a cookie pan. I sprayed Pam on the bean mixture. Before roasting, I sprinkled salt & pepper on all the veggies, and sprinkled garlic powder and thyme on the bean mixture. Roasted for 25 minutes next to the pork tenderloin pan. Both meat and veggies were VERY EASY & QUICK!
This is my version of a spaghetti dish. I prefer penne pasta and the use of bottled sauce makes this quick & easy! It's also quite versatile as I have used a variety of different sauces. I've varied the other ingredients as well, e.g. add parmesan cheese, omit mushrooms, etc. You can also use other types of pasta. This is especially good served with garlic toast!
Crock pot stew great for cold weather days!
I saw a movie a while back where the main character's mother was frying an egg inside a slice of bread. Looked good, thought I'd try that with lower fat, healthier ingredients.
Adding light sour cream and light cream cheese to this prepared dip mix makes this a lighter version. Very good.
With the prepared dry mix and light sour cream and light cream cheese, this is a lightened version of a great dip!
