O.k. so this is A version of V. Bertinellis recipe on foodnetwork. I made it less sweet due to my diabetes and count the fat using half oil. I love the tart and light sweet taste . The crust is too die for , it is so crumbly , buttery and prefect for a quick breakfast with protein or a snack . I did not put the sprinkle of cinnamon or powder sugar over the bar but it would have been great if giving them as gifts for holiday.
I changed this recipe from gluten free on a shoe string because I wanted it to have a more whole grain texture. Worked out great!
THis one turned out great with using different flours. I will explain the reason I had to use bob red mills flour in description instead of my homemade.
THe recipe called for red wine but I did not have, so I am using Sherry instead. Flour called for 1 tbsp but recipe maker would not let me change. I made homemade croutons with the bread in oven .
This is great with Turbinado sugar and the color is rich. I would have liked it in muffins but I used a 9 inch baking pan. Would be great with a bowl of soup.
These turned out so much better than just using one GF flour mix. They taste just like a scone , I was so pleased to come up with the recipes so I could feel normal again. Enjoy! Just a note!::The last 4 ingred.s are for the sugar glaze, so do that last.
So creamy and has chunks of brocolli left in it so you don't feel like your eating baby food. Yummy!
Mix ingredients together and place in long glass dish . Shape oblong and put cut onions and peppers on top with ketup.
This is better than boxed jello pudding...and so much healthier. I did not put sugar as the recipe asked for 1/3 cup. I am diabetic and need low cholestrol food.
Very delicious muffin for being healthy and I used about 1tbsp for the cheese spread on each muffin. I did not have cream cheese so I combined mascapone and creme franche 4 oz each. Wait until muffins are completely cooled for hours and than you can frost and freeze for indivdual treats when you want a pick me up. I leave four in refrig. for the week to have on hand for a fast bkft with my coffee or just as an after dinner dessert with fruit. If you are watching cholestrol like me I substitued the 4 eggs in the orginal recipe for 1 egg/ 1egg white / 1 flax egg and 1/4 to 1/2cup of applesauce. Enjoy your vit E and A with this mffin.
THis is a very moist burger and full of flavor . You can substitute the tapenade for olives of any flavor and use any spices you like for a variety of different burgers. SOmetimes I dont even put the olive paste or corn in if I don't have it on hand. Enjoy.

BAKE AT 350 FOR 15 TO 20 MINUTES DEPENDING ON HOW BIG YOU MAKE THESE MUFFINS. MY CALCULATIONS THE FIRST TIME WHERE 26 BUT IF I MADE THEM SMALLER THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER BECAUSE THEY ARE A VERY DENSE MUFFIN AND VERY TASTEY. I REVAMPED THIS RECIPE FROM AN AMISH COOKBOOK TO MAKE IT FIX BETTER SINCE i'M DIABETIC.
