this was submitted by JNORMAN1969 . I changed it to suit myself.I liked the texture better with cook & serve pudding.
With no flour , using egg substitute, and country crock spread. They taste great and almost guilt free.I put them in the frig. so they don't crumble, butter would make them hold together better but then you have the cholesterol.
New Orleans Red Beans with Spicy Texas Sausage. I didn't figure ham hocks in nutritional info because you don't actually eat it but you do get fat in the dish from them ,so if you can't have the extra fat and cholesterol try adding a little liquid smoke or lean smoked ham .
If you don't like garlic this isn't the dish for yoy, but if you do ,yummy! I usually use leftovers in this dish .Leftover ckicken and veg. makes it a one pan meal. 1/2 cup is the serving size, but I don't think I have ever seen my husband or grandson eat less than a cup of pasta at any time. I hope you enjoy.
Easy and tasty. The onions give the fish a nice sweet flavor and the Tony's gives a little kick!
Handed down from my Cajun Grandmother. We always ate this with rice, but it is good on potatoes also.Ayeeee!!!
Use the same treatment with any meat you want from chicken to roast. If gravy isn't brown enough add a little kitchen bouqet and no one will know!
