I'm the only one in my house that likes (OK, loves) sweets. This recipe is the perfect cure for my sweet tooth and doesn't add too many calories to my day!
I always make this shake when I'm a little low on protein for the day, or when I want something yummy that's still nutritious. You'd never guess that it wasn't loaded with calories and fat! The yogurt used is really high in protein, compared to other yogurts, even though I usually steer away from low-carb products. The ingredients are also inexpensive, and there's no protein powder to buy! You can play around with different flavors of yogurt and/or fruits, but this combo is definitely my favorite!
This pie is a holiday staple in my family! My new in-laws beg me to make it for every special occasion. I realize that this is NOT considered healthy, nor is it low-calorie in any way, but I do use some swaps that help lower the fat and calories. If you've gotta have it, at least you can have it a little lighter! Just make sure to practice moderation.
I love pumpkin pie, and this is a really neat twist on an old recipe!
