This makes a great cold salad that has 1/2 the sugar of most recipes and more fiber with the addition of the chickpeas.
I love this recipe because it requires few ingredients and takes no time to make. You can vary the ingredients substituting bacon for the ham if you prefer. You can use fat free milk and sour cream and it still tastes good but doesn't have quite the creamy consistency.
Serve with a nice slice of sourdough or rye bread.
