Serve as a fruit dip.
This turned out really yummy. I think it would make a good sandwich. I used my own flour mix - Katz Gluten Free Flour. You have to weigh the flour, not measure it.
75 ounces total = 75 1-ounce/30-g 1/4-cup servings
About 10 1/2-cup servings.
This makes a thick soup. If you prefer a thinner soup, use 1 cup less peas. I made a lot in order to freeze some for later.
Serve with Apple Topping or Peach Coulis
This made 15 muffins
These are not very sweet.
I used cranberry sauce made with sugar and not corn syrup.
You can use baguette slice instead of gluten-free hamburger bun. I make my own beef broth without salt.
I like this for breakfast.
A simple, savory mushroom soup using beef broth.
I divided this into four servings, but you could divide into more if you did not want to eat so many calories at once. I use different flavors of Torani syrup. This batch I made half chocolate and half orange. You could make this totally sugar free by substiting Splenda for the agave nectar.
This turned out really yummy. Definitely going to make it again.
I love this soup and eat it all the time! It is super easy to make. I use home cooked pinto beans. You can substitute canned, but the sodium count will be different. You can also substitute any other canned or cooked bean of your choice.
I tried to make this as low calorie as I could by cutting back on oil. And was I surprised to find out how many calories were in flour!
You can add eggplant or other vegetables as you prefer. I think mushrooms would be good.
You can add or substitute other diced vegetables as you desire, such as cucumber and carrot. Sesame oil would be a nice touch, but I am trying to eat as little fat as possible right now.
A healthy way to get your chocolate fix. Jolyn uses agave nectar and/or Splenda. I like to use agave nectar and different flavored Torani sugar free syrups, usually half chocolate and half whatever I have on hand. I have used coconut and raspberry so far. The calorie count is based on 2 tablespoons agave nectar and Torani sugar free syrup. Using 1/3 cup agave nectar, the calorie count increases to 224 calories per serving.
An easy, delicious way to prepare asparagus.
You can add salt or rosemary (fresh or dried) as desired.
My version of Dutch Apple Pancake is not very sweet. You can increase the honey if desired or use agave nectar or sugar. You can use regular milk of your choice in place of the soy milk. I use a small cast iron skillet to saute the apples and then transfer to the oven.
Serve with Cottage Cheese Pancakes, or your favorite pancake or waffle. You can experiment with different sugar-free Torani syrups -- I like peach -- or add sweetener of your choice if you desire.
Serve with Pineapple-Yogurt Topping. Yummy!
Serve with vegetable sticks, pita bread, and/or whole grain crackers, or use as a spread for wraps and sandwiches.
You can vary fresh and frozen fruits according to your preference. I usually freeze peeled bananas wrapped in wax paper. You can add some sweetener if you like.
