Joy of cooking recipe
This is a traditional sweet and sour recipe from my mother. Her mother made it every Friday night as an appetizer. My kids love it as an entree. Dip fresh bread in the gravy sopping up all the liquid so your plate is clean.

If you're starting this from scratch, begin by baking two sweet potatoes and start layering the lasagna once they're done. If you sauce dry noodles, generously when layering the lasagna, it's not necessary to boil the pasta.
