I have not added olives or feta to this recipe as I often just have the veggies over cottage cheese. They can be added to my calculations later.
I was looking for a dip to make my veggies a little more interesting. Ranch is great but a little too high calorie when made with mayo. This version is made with fat free yogurt and is quite thick. It could be thinned down with a little more milk to make a pourable dressing for salads.
Mostly veg but just a little ham for flavour.
This recipe can be changed in a 100 ways. I've added it only so I can track how many calories are in today's version.
My heart was set on black bean soup but I realized my black beans were actually black beluga lentils. I added 2 19 oz cans of black beans close to the end of cooking and it actually turned out pretty good.
I used up some left over pot roast beef and whatever veg I could find in the fridge. Turned out pretty good, I'll freeze servings and take it for lunch.
This is a mixture of Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal, which I find too sweet (and higher cal), and Kashi 7 Grain Puffed cereal, which has no sugar added and reminds me of the big bags of puffed wheat and rice my Mom used to buy when I was a kid. Loved that stuff! Mixed together you get all the flavor without the need to add any sugar.
Lazy way to get the taste of cabbage rolls.
This is so good you will lick the bowl and it's thick enough and lo cal enough to use as a dip. Makes 2 c or 24 1-T servings at 28.6 cals per serving.
Calorie calculations are based on 1 jar of Patak's Madras Cooking sauce.
This is real food made from scratch and using the best quality ingredients available. It takes some time but is well worth it.
These turned out really good. I used Dempsters, Ancient Grains Tortillas for the extra fibre. If using other toritllas adjust recipe accordingly.
This is a nice change from split pea soup.
Absolutely delicious salad that can be served alongside any main dish or just add saute'd chicken or prawns for a fabulous meal. The calorie calculation is for the dressing only but I have given the ingredients for the rest of the salad so you know what is in it and you can calculate your calories depending on how much you would like to eat.
