Butternut and ginger soup

Something healthy and easy to make

Morning Juice Break 1 Serving

This is a juice drink I make every morning. It's supposed to help with blood pressure and so much more. The ginger makes it extra spicy, so if you don't like *spice heat* leave it out.

Glory Bowl Salad Dressing

I don't remember where I first got this recipe. It's not my creation. The dressing is absolutely delicious. Originally it calls for nutritional yeast flakes but I don't have any, so I just make it as listed here.

Baked beans with bacon

I make this for pot luck BBQs. The smokiness of the hamhock really enhances the flavor of the beans. I remove the hock and don't use the meat so the calorie/fat calculations may be a bit off.

This is the recipe to make masa harina patties into the perfect little hot sandwich "bread".

Mom's Mexican Spoon Bread

My mom sent me this recipe and I just had to try it. It's great for pot-lucks and as a side dish. Add cooked chicken in the chile layer to make it a meal all it's own!
