Black Bean Faux Hummus - lower sodium

borrowed the recipe from SP_STEPH and made it lower sodium and with chicken broth(the original uses vegetable broth). only 11 mg of sodium per 1/8 cup. yummy

Not fried rice - lower sodium 3/4 cup

borrowed a recipe from here "not fried rice" but added more veg and used low sodium soy sauce.

Chicken chili w/ corn lower sodium

took Chef Megs makeover Chicken chili and substituted according to my available ingredients and dietary needs.

saw this spicy bbq chicken crockpot version on Sparkpeople and I had alternate ingredients so I entered it to be accurate on my meal tracker. I would use low sodium worchestershire next time but this is all i had.

Taco soup - low sodium version of Chef Meg's

Took Chef Meg's taco soup and used all low sodium items. The beans I used dry and soaked and perpared them first and added a little more meat since the size of my package was 1.25 lbs.

Southwest Pasta Salad - low sodium (1/2 cup)

Took an awesome recipe from RDEPASS but made it low sodium with frozen corn and used dried beans and my own homemade salsa.

kiwi Mini Muffins - low fat low cholesterol

Borrowed the Sparkrecipe from ALAGUE and substituted brown sugar for white, used egg whites and applesauce instead of oil. Didnt have skim milk so added 1/2 cup 2% and 1/4 cup water instead. very easy to make

Marie's banananana choc chip muffins

took the Cook yourself thin recipe and substituted applesauce for oil and only used egg whites. and removed the walnuts. also increased the banana for more banana flavor

three bean salad

modified a recipe from Sparkpeople to be lower sodium
