Gert's Stuffed Egg Halves

I don't like the term "deviled" eggs. So I renamed my version of this amazing egg dish. These are always a hit when I bring them to a party, barbeque or potluck.
If taking these along to an occasion, you can fill the egg halves at the location. Just keep the yolk mixture in the bag until needed.
I usually put romaine lettuce leaves on the tray to make it prettier.

Gert's Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries

I made these for lunch today.

Gert's Trail Mix Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

I used an Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookie recipe that I grew up with and gave it a healthy twist. It could be healthier if you used all unsweetened ingredients, use agave nectar instead of sugar, whole wheat flour in place of the white flour and 4 eggs whites in place of the 2 eggs. I will be trying that recipe soon. I will also try to make a gluten free version.

Gert's Broccoli Soup

This is one of my absolute favourite soups ever!!! I made this in a slow cooker for 6 hours. It can be cooked in 45-60 minutes on the stove.
You can add a little milk, cheese or sour cream if you would like.
I baked a huge sweet potato and added a quarter of a cup of it to my soup. Delicious!!!

Summer Borscht

This is a soup that I grew up with. This Mennonite Soup recipe has my own twist to it. It doesn't usually have the garlic, sweet potato, milk or Miracle Whip in it. Instead of the milk and Miracle Whip, others usually use buttermilk or cream.

Ezok's stew

Homemade stew made in slow cooker.
Can be cooked in skillet on stove on low-med heat for about an hour.
Makes 15 (2 cup) servings @ 189.3 calories / serving
OR 30 (1 cup) servings @ 94.7 calories / serving.

Gert's Pizza Crust

I put a healthy twist on this pizza crust recipe.
You can make personal sized pizza crusts and let everyone add their own toppings.
This recipe makes two 14"X10" thin pizza crusts. (I use my 14"X10" baking stones)
Each crust yields 16 3.5"X2.5" pieces.

*This recipe also doubles as bread dough.

Gert's Crepes (7inch)

I grew up with regular crepe-style pancakes. I added a healthier twist to this old favourite.
My favourite topping for these is fresh fruit.
As a dessert you can roll them up with fresh fruit, pudding and cool whip inside.
