There is a Mexican restaurant that we love going to that has an amazing salsa. This is the home version of that delicious salsa!

This is a basic venison recipe which I use as a starter to make a few different dishes. One of the ways we like to use this is to put it on rolls with some melted "cheese". It is also very good made into a gravy with beef broth and served over rice or pasta.

I do this dough using my kitchenaid mixer instead of mixing and kneading by hand.

This is adapted a little due to my husbands tastes compared to how it is written in the book.
This is a take on a Paula Deen recipe... I used the 98% fat free soups where possible and added the refried beans for additional fiber. While this is not something you should eat every day due to the calories, fat and sodium it is a nice change from the ordinary.
This isn't an everyday kind of dish with its highish fat and calorie content, but it is a great special dinner for once in a while.
You could lighten this up further by using fat free cream of mushroom soup - I just didn't have any on hand today.
Not low calorie in any way - but it is lower in fat than the original version.

This breakfast cooks itself overnight in the slow cooker! There's not a better way to wake in the morning.
