George's Favorite Joy of Cooking Cake

George compared dozens of chocolate cake recipes and decided this was the perfect recipe for moistness and flavor. You can make buttermilk from regular milk by adding i TBS lemon juice or vinegar to 1 C milk.

Ethel's Baked Clams

You need 12 clam shells or you can back as a casserole in a 9 X 9 pan.

George's Classic Quiche Lorraine

You can make any type of quiche by using the half and half and egg mixture and just add different ingredients, George like broccoli swiss which uses 1 1/2 box thawed frozen broccoli and 4 to 6 oz swiss cheese instead of bacon and onions.

George's Tortilla (taken from Grandma)

This is a recipe George wrote down as he was making this tortilla with his mother Ethel. I credit it to george, but it can also be Ethel's.

Armenian Cookies

Grandma Ethel sprinkles these with granulated sugar before baking. I roll them in powdered sugar after they bake and cool but are still a little war.
