Raw Tuna Salad

Here's a favorite delicacy served in the Southern part of the Philippines. Each region, however, adds flavor through other ingredients native to the area, but the preparation remains the same. The ingredients listed here are the ones commonly used in most areas. In some parts of the country, they use the local coconut wine instead of vinegar. In other parts, about a 1/2 cup of coconut milk is added to remove the 'fishy' taste. Slices of cucumber or fresh tomatoes also go well with this dish. This recipe can also be used with FRESH Mackerel, Cod or any meaty fish. Served as an appetizer, it goes perfectly with beer or any drink of your choice. Some eat it as a main dish with rice.
