By Low Carb Layla: Fried cabbage is basic staple item in the low carb world. Surprisingly I've never tried it until I made it tonight. It was so good! I feel like I've been missing out on something by not trying it sooner. My kids didn't care much for it but my carb-etarian Hubs thought it was excellent! I looked up a few recipes to get a feel for how to prepare and wound up cooking it in a very similar way I cook my Bacon and Onion Green Beans which are heaven on a plate (this cabbage ranks right up there). I think you can cook anything with bacon, onions, salt and pepper and it will come out fabulous! I served this with the Laughing Cow Steak and thought they were a nice combo on my plate. Bring on the cabbage! *INDUCTION FRIENDLY*
Pepperidge Farm Recipe
These Napoleons can be served immediately or covered and refrigerated for up to 4 hours.
From the Betty Crocker Collection but adjusted ingredients. Instead of 16 oz of marscapone, used 8oz and 2 cups of whipping cream instead of 1 cup. Also instead of 1 1/2 packages of lady fingers, one package works. (Saves about 100 calories per serving).
This is from Live Better America and is surprisingly low calorie, low fat
This is from Bon Appetit and can be made with bacon fat or duck fat (calories are basically the same)
From Sunny Anderson of Food Network. She also added Bourbon Whipped Cream
Very healthy as main course or side dish.
From Food Network's Ina Garten
(I tried the recipe and if you use dried basil only 3 tbsp are recommended; however, it is still a bit overpowering. I'd suggest 1 tbsp only unless you love the taste of basil.)
A refreshing way to enjoy fresh or frozen raspberries.

This is from the KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker collection. Yummy.

Very low cal and low fat. Healthy way to satisfy sweet tooth.
This is from Joy of Cooking and actually can make 30 2-inch muffins for 53 calories each or 15 4-inch for 106 calories.
When I didn't have cranberry sauce I used craisins and it was surprisingly good.
This is just in time for Thanksgiving. It's a twice-baked version of sweet potatoes from "Healthy Cooking"
This is from "Hungry Girl" on the Food Network. She revamps favorites and makes them healthy.
There are other variations of this recipe on Spark, but this is lower calorie.
This is a reduced calorie version, but the taste is still there. You can add other things like mayo, pickles, tomato, etc., but need to adjust calories for each additional item.
Emeril's recipe calls for cremini, oyster or shiitake mushrooms. I substituted canned mushrooms since they are on hand. If you use the cremini, oyster or shiitake recalculate.
If you've ever been to NY you know how great their potato salad is. This is as close as it gets!
Redo of recipe already on site using 16 oz of regular Velveeta and not light and regular chicken broth not less sodium
This stuffing is delicious as a side with pork, chicken or ham. It can also be used as a dessert. Very yummy.
