I want to make these, just wondering ...is the purpose for using refried black beans more for consistency, or taste? I am trying to work out whether I could puree canned black beans to keep the fat content lower? Thanks :)
I especially love the wax paper trick. Smart. Can't wait to give these a try as I love black beans. I'm going to try cooking the beans from dry and then refrying them myself to keep the sodium level down. Hope it works!
