These were delicious! So fudgy just like a good brownie should be! Nobody new they were low calorie either. I didn't use the espresso powder,chocolate chips or salt and they turned out beautiful, thankyou so much for sharing this recipe! I added in some nuts for extra crunch!

Tastes great! Wouldn't think it was diet!I made it using half splenda and didn't add choco chips- didn't miss it at all!I did however make 9 servings from the batch instead of 12- made brownies 77 calories each and a nicer portion size. Brownie was very cake-like. Submitted by:

This was very good, and I didn't add the chocolate chips. This was my first time using applesauce in a recipe, and it was a great success! Next time I make this I will use less sugar, and less cocoa powder - it was just a little too sweet for me. But awesome Brownie, you can't even tell its low cal! Submitted by:

WoWEE! This turned my 9-year-old into a brownie wolf! I like semi-sweet chocolate; even with just a few shavings of it atop the batter, instead of the chips, these were moist and full-flavored. I used 3/4c.Sugar; more'd likely make 'em more tender & cakelike. Txture was fudgy, satisfying to bite. Submitted by:

This is a good recipe to keep around! The texture is definitely different, due to all the egg whites and a low amount of flour, but it's not a bad texture. I left out the chocolate chips. 1/2tsp is a lot of salt though, and I could taste it, so I'll probably do 1/4 tsp next time Submitted by:

These were great and will make again for sure. I used half sugar and half splenda. I also placed a 8- half tbsp's of red. fat pb on batter in pan, then sprinkled w/ chips. The brownies were very moist and chocolatey. Did not taste chalky or low cal, low fat. I also used whole wheat flour. Delicious Submitted by:

YUM! I used Truvia for half the sugar and pumpkin puree instead of the applesauce. I also omitted the choc chips - didn't feel they were needed and they are plenty chocolatey and rich. Next time will replace all the sugar with Truvia. Right now-they came to 59 cals each. Thanks for the recipe! Submitted by:

Fantastic! I used Splenda Baking Blends instead of sugar (1/2 cup) and left out the espresso... for an extra special treat, use Andes choc mint bits instead of choc chips on top (same calories!). For extra smooth brownies, add 1 Tbsp unwhipped whipping cream. (87 calories per brownie!!) Submitted by:

So good! If you leave out the chocolate chips, the calories do go down to 89 calories per serving based on 12 servings per batch. You won't even miss the chips, these are so gooey and chocolatey on their own that one will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth! Submitted by:
