Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I halved the recipe, and used a combination of 1 "spicy" mango and 1/2 cup frozen mango. The lime juice cut the "spice" and the brown sugar complemented everything quite well. Came out frothy and delicious! Submitted by:

No need for the sugar - the taste of the mango is wonderful enough on its own.

I had guanabana while in Costa Rica and it's wonderful, too. I wish it were available in Michigan!

I made this with 1% milk and Stevia instead of the brown sugar. Incredible! Will make again and again. Submitted by:

This is so good. I love mangos, they are so sweet and yummy. You can use brown sugar by Splenda instead of the real brown sugar for less calories. Submitted by:

This was a refreshing change. You can substitute other fruit in place of the mango if mango isn't your thing. I use splenda in place of the sugar. Way better than a milkshake and less on the waistline too. Submitted by:

Lovely - I tried it without the sugar - I tihink actually it does need it so next time I'll spend the extra calories - and I'll spend a few on 1% milk instead of skimmed. Submitted by:

I was wondering what my smoothies were missing--lime juice! I used vanilla yogurt and milk, so didn't add the sugar. Submitted by:

I will use fresh fruits that are getting over ripe - saves on waste - and ice cubes to get the frozen effect - use a little less lime juice but leave out the brown sugar to save on some calories. Thanks for the idea - delish!! Submitted by:

This is a great one because of the calorie count and taste! Submitted by:

I think adding the sugar depends on the type of mango if it is too sweet then you may consider omitting the sugar if you are not a fan of the very sweet taste like me. Submitted by:

I've had this batido is a Cuban restaurant. I doubt they added sugar so I'm going to get mango and limes today and make this without the sugar. Submitted by:
