Nutrition & Calorie Comments  

The idea is good but the topping needed more fat - butter, olive oil, or butter with olive oil, to make it cook down into a cohesive combination. One tablespoon of any of these makes a big difference. -
This was AMAZING. I changed a couple of things, based on my preferences. I added some fennel seeds to the onion while they were cooking (I love fish and fennel), I used regular vegetable broth instead of low sodium, used fresh tuna (had it on hand), and opted for all fresh ingredients + wine. Mmm.
We loved this stew. But.. I made several changes/additions:I took out the nuts (allergies and calories) added 3 small potatoes (boiled first) and used half of the diced potatoes pureed as the thickener. I also added garlic, mushrooms, yellow squash and doubled the tomatoes. A definite regular.
