Red Cabbage with Apple

Ingredients
3 Bacon Strips, Diced1 Onion, Chopped1 Apple, Peeled and Chopped1 Cup Water1/4 Cup White Wine Vinegar1 Tbs. Sugar1/2 Tsp. Salt
Directions
In a large saucepan, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Using a slotted spoon, remove to paper towels to drain.

In drippings, saute onion and apple until tender. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until tender. Stir in reserved bacon.
