Ingredients
*Chick Peas, 1 cup dry (remove)*Canola Oil, 2 tbsp (remove)Onions, raw, 07 cup, chopped (remove)Pureed Tomatoes, 1.5 cup (remove)Salt, 1 tsp (remove)Brown Sugar, 1 tsp packed (remove)*Cumin seed, 1 tsp (remove)Ginger Root, 1 tsp (remove)Garlic, 0.5 tsp (remove)
Directions
Heat oil. Add cumin and finely chopped onion and fry until brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute until aromatic. Add tomato puree, turmeric, red chilli powder. Now add cooked chickpeas (if using canned, drain and rinse) and water for required consistency. Add 1-2 tsp of chana masala powder or garam masala and boil until the gravy is thick and homogenous, not watery.
Serve hot
