Salmon & Smoked Kippers Pasta

1 jar of Ragu Light Tomato & Basil Tomato Sauce1 cup of baby bella mushrooms sliced1 cup onion diced1 tsp of jarred minced garlic1 Tbs olive oil1 cup of summer squash2 tsp Italian seasoningsea salt to taste.1 can of Bumblebee Wild Salmon1 can King Oscar Smoked Kippers4 servings of whole wheat pasta, cork screw type
- Start with heating olive oil
- Add the onion and garlic over medium low heat
- Sweat the onion until tender
- Add squash, seasoning and pepper.
- Allow to cook over medium heat for about 5 min
- Add mushrooms and 1/4 tsp of sea salt.
- After the mushrooms have started to lose some of their water, add a few tsp of Worcestershire sauce.
- stir well and add the jar of sauce.
- Drain and add the can of salmon
- Stir well and taste for spice adjustment. Add a little pepper. If still too much tomato flavor then add a little more salt.
- Allow to simmer while the pasta cooks according to the package instructions.
