Lowfat Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients
* Butter, salted, 1 tbsp (remove) * Parmesan Cheese, grated, 0.75 cup (remove) * Milk, 2%, 3 cup (remove) * Pepper, black, 0.50 tsp (remove) * Salt, 0.75 tsp (remove) * Garlic, 1 clove (remove) * Wheat flour, white, bread, enriched, 0.25 cup (remove)
Directions
Melt butter and saute garlic over medium heat and whisk in flour to make a paste. Add Milk, salt, and pepper, whisking to blend. Increase heat and bring to a boil while stirring. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened (about 5 minutes). I added the parmesan at the end, before I mixed this with pasta.

Makes 10 servings when mixed with pasta. I added shrimp and chicken to the pasta, and served with a side of fresh sugar snap peas.
