Ingredients
2 and 1/2 pounds ground chuck2 cups freshly made (not canned) breadcrumbs (process into fine crumbs in a food processor or blender; use old bread or packaged, unseasoned stuffing cubes)1/2 cup milk1/2 cup ketchup1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix (dry)1 egg1/2 onion, chopped fine2 big stalks celery, diced small1/2 medium carrot, minced or chopped fine2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce1 tsp. black pepper2 tsp. salt
Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix all ingredients except crescent rolls. Shape into 10 loaves that are 6 ounces each. Place on a foil-lined (may spray lightly with cooking spray) roasting pan. Cover loosely with a sheet of foil sprayed with cooking spray. Bake for 15 minutes at 400; reduce the heat to 350 and bake 40 minutes longer.

Makes 10 6-oz. loaves. Freezes very well. (Bake 15 minutes at 400, then only 30 minutes at 350. Freeze. Thaw. Reheat 15 minutes at 400.)
