Ingredients
1 lb/500g mince (raw ) = 400g cooked.onion, chopped1 tsp garlic chopped1 tsp olive oilWatties Traditional pasta sauce 1x 420g tin or a similar pasta sauce that is 53cals per 100gParmesan cheese 2 tbsp
Directions
This probably isn't authentic but it's how we all make it in New Zealand. It's a favourite dish with bachelors as it's so easy to make.

In a large frypan heat the oil, on medium fry the onion and garlic, add mince, brown for about 5 mins.

If the mince didn't look that lean; turn off the heat, move the mixture to one side of the pan, then tilt the pan so that the meat is on the up side.
The water and fat will run to the down side, skim it off and put it in a bowl, check it out later when it has cooled and see all the fat, discard the fat, and if desired you can add the juices back to the mix but you don't really need them.

Now add sauce, simmer at least 10 mins.
Can be made in advance and reheated, or frozen for use another day. There are lots of uses for left over sauce (e.g. on toast) and kids love it.

Serve over freshly cooked pasta - pasta calories are extra. Spinkle parmesan (optional) and or fresh coriander or your favourite herbs, over and serve.
