24-Hour Layered Salad

Ingredients
10 oz pkg chopped romaine lettuce1 cup diced celery1 lg green pepper chopped1 cup red onion chopped1 8 oz can water chestnuts drained1 cup frozen green peas2 cups Miracle Whip regular (could use lite)1 Tabsp. sugar1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese8 slices crisp fried bacon chopped ( could use 10)
Directions
Layer lettuce, celery, pepper, onions, water chestnuts, and frozen peas in a large serving bowl. Mix togther Miracle Whip and sugar. Spread mixture over peas and top with cheddar cheese and bacon. Cover bowl and refrigerate overnight. Serves 8 to 10
