Ingredients
* White Rice, long grain, 4 cup * Onions, raw, 4 large * Sunflower Oil, 2 tbsp * Salt, 3 tsp * Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp * Cardamom, ground, 1 tsp * *Cumin seed, 1 tsp * Almonds, 15 almond * Raisins, 50 raisins * *Green Chilles (Whole), 8 to 10 * Yogurt, plain, low fat, 1 container (4 oz) * Turmeric, ground, 1 tsp * Garlic, 10 cloves paste * Ginger Root 1/2 inch paste * Red Ripe Tomatoes, 1 large whole (3" dia) * Chili powder, 1 tsp * garam masala powder, 1 tsp * *Coriander leaf, 1/4 bunch chopped coriander powder 1 tsp Chicken Leg, 700 grams *Potato, raw, 1 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.)
Directions
Soak Rice in a vessel with salt,oil 1 tsp and cumin seeds.then cook it like any regular rice.
Take another large nonstick pan .take oil.add finely chopped onions.add cumin seeds,cinnamon stick,cardamom 4-5,cloves n black pepper 4 to 5.fry till nice n crispy and brown.Remove them leaving oil in the pan.keep then on a plate scattered well to dry.
then to same pan and oil add chicken pieces,chopped big potatoes and almonds.Saute well till golden brown in colour.Add salt.
meanwhile ,in a mixer add green chillies,yogurt,tomatoes,ginger and garlic and make a fine paste.Add this to the chicken above and stir fry in an open pan till it dries well.Now add garam masala powder,red chilli powder ,coriander powder turmeric powder and stir well.
Now add rice in layers alternating with chicken ,sauteed onions ,coriander leaves ,raisins .cover and cook well on low flame for 15 -20 mins.Serve hot and enjoy measuring your servings.
