1/2 C water1/2 C cooked white or brown rice-recipe calculated using white short grain sticky rice1 lb 93% lean ground turkey2 tsp grated fresh ginger1 large red bell pepper finely diced1/2 C reduced sodium chicken broth-use 99% fat free to reduce fat content2 tbsp hoisin sauce*1 tsp five spice powder**1/2 tsp kosher salt16 inner leaves from hearts of romaine-can use boston lettuce 1 tbsp each cilantro and chives, chopped1/4 C grated carrot4 cloves garlic,grated1 tbsp tamari-dark soy sauce1 tsp each onion and garlic powdersriracha-optional-not included in nutritional information
1. Cook rice per package directions.
2. Meanwhile, heat oil in large nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Add turkey, garlic, and ginger; cook crumbling with wooden spoon, until the turkey is cooked through, about 6 minutes. Stir in the cooked rice, bell pepper, broth, hoisin sauce, five spice powder and salt; cook until heated through, about 1 minute.
3. To serve, spoon portions of turkey mixture into lettuce leaves-if using boston lettuce, if using hearts of romaine we just ate a bite of meat then ate a bite of lettuce. Top with herbs, carrot and sriracha if desired. Makes 4- 1 1/4 C servings.
*Hoisin is a spicy, sweet sauce made from soybeans, chiles, garlic, and spices. Will keep in frige for at least a year.
** Often a blend of cinnamon, cloves, fennel seed, star anise, and Szechuan peppercorns. Find in supermarket spice section.

So glad you enjoyed! Yeah I found it needed some kinda "sauce" as well and I like foods with a bite so that's where the sriracha came in for me. Do you mind sharing what Asian dipping sauce you used?
