*channa dal, 1 cup *Cumin seed, .5 tsp Mustard seed, yellow, .5 tsp*garam masala, 1 tsp*Sambar Paste, .5 tbspRed Ripe Tomatoes, 1 medium whole (2-3/5" dia)Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped*Tumeric, 0.5 tsp*Chayote Fruit Raw (One 5-3/4" Chayote), 2 servingSunflower Oil, 1.5 tbsp

Marchelle's Channa Dal with Chow Chow

Soak the Channa Dal for 1 hr in water
Heat oil and add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds
Add the copped onions and tomatoes and cook for sometime
Then add the Channa dal and the chow chow
The sambar masala and garam masala and pressure cook for 10 mins
