Oatmeal - Best Steel Cut Oats Crock Pot Recipe (adapted from recipezaar.com)

Ingredients
1 cup Steel-cut oats3 cups hot water (not boiling)1 1/2 cups lite soy milk1/4 cup packed light brown sugar1 tbsp cinnamon
Directions
Spray inside of crock pot with non-stick spray (I use non-fat spray).

Add all ingredients to crock pot (if you'd like to add some raisins and/or cranberries, wait 'til several hours have passed, depending on the texture you prefer).

Turn to low setting.

Cook for 8-9 hours (turn on last thing before going to bed).

    Use this method a lot for cooking overnight steel cut oatmeal. Works well. Sometimes just use all water and no sugar as we tend to add things to our oatmeal after it is done. - 7/11/16
