Kentucky Turkey Chili

4 ground turkey patties (1 pound total)1 T. of canola oil1 t; celery flakes1 t. parsley flakes1/4 t. salt1/4 t. black pepper1/2 t. ground cumin1/8 t garlic powder1 small onion minced1/8 tsp of hot sauce----2 large cans of tomato sauce2 ounces dry whole wheat spaghetti (broken up)1 T. chili powder1 reg. can of pinto beans, drained and rinsed1 cup of frozen white corn kernals
Mince onion. Put Canola oil in skillet, add onion, turkey, parsley and celery flakes, cumin, 1 teaspoon chili powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Use spatula to crumble turkey as it cooks and blend spices. Cook thoroughly, stirring often to prevent sticking. When done put in strainer and strain out all fat. Lay on paper toweling for 5 minutes to soak up excess fat.
In large crockpot add tomato sauce, drained pintos, broken spaghetti noodles and 1 Tablespoon of chili powder. Add drained cooked turkey and stir. Add frozen corn kernals. Cook on high for 45 minutes, then turn to low. Stir often to prevent sticking and blend flavors. Chili is done when spaghetti is cooked through.
