Ingredients
About 3 pounds of apples (sweet variety)1/4 cup waterCinnamon to taste (I used about 1 Tbsp.)
Directions
Peel and quarter the apples, removing the core. Put the apple quarters into a slow cooker. Add the cinnamon and water. Cook on low for about 8 hours (or high for about 4 hours) until the apples are completely soft. Use a potato masher to mash the apples. Serve warm or cold.
I was able to get seven 1/2 cup servings.

This is an amazing way to do applesauce. So much better then standing over the stove. I love it! I found no water needed. Added large cinnamon stick and just the cut up apples. Did on low about 5 hours and it got a deeper color as it went, was able to stir and break up apples in just a couple hours. - 11/17/15
