I love German pancakes. These are great GERMAN pancakes. They aren't American pancakes people. We like to put lemon/lime juice and powdered sugar on them. - 12/2/07

This particular type of "pancake" is not actually suppose to be a breakfast pancake nor are they sweet. We (Germans) serve them at Dinner & traditionally with a filling of Asparagus, Cauliflower in Cream Sauce, Ham & Bechamel Sauce or Brown Gravy w/Ground Beef. And NO they are not "cakes". - 6/12/10

This sounds more like a cake than original German pancake. We in Germany make pancakes in a pan but in portions like American pancakes. They are fried in butter to give them a crispy outside. German pancakes are more like crepes but thicker. - 10/31/09

So easy, pretty and tasty. I had a little nibble after pulling it I can't wait to dig in. I wonder how well it will work in a cast iron skillet. - 11/2/10
