Pasta Pomodoro

Ingredients
8 oz pasta salt1/4 cup EVOO3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes 1 cup crushed plum tomatoes 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped freshly grated Parmesan (optional)
Directions
Make this gluten-free by using rice pasta.

While pasta is cooking, start mixing sauce ingredients over medium-high heat. Start with oil, add garlic and sautee for 3 minutes. Add red pepper flakes, tomatoes, and salt. Continue stirring until sauce simmers. Add the drained pasta to the sauce with a few tablespoons of the reserved water. Stir to coat pasta and continue to cook for 1 minute more. Season to taste with salt. Add basil and toss to coat. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
