Meatless (Garbanzo) Burgers

Ingredients
Directions
2 cans garbanzo beans, drained & rinsed1 c. egg whites1 c. old fashioned oats (uncooked, dry measure)1 c. Picco de GalloChili pepper, ground cumin, red pepper (to taste)
Blend beans in a processor. Put into large mixing bowl. Add all other ingredients. Shape into patties & cook on a griddle or pan sprayed with Pam.
Makes approx 7 (4 oz.) burgers.
These meatless burgers are not as high in protein as a burger with meat, but you do get quality carbs and fiber. No need for a bun, as you are getting both carbs and protein here.
Replace fat containing sausage with these for a great breakfast or have anytime for a great small meal. Add a fresh green salad or steamed veggies.
