2 cups whole wheat flour3/4 cup organic cane sugar1 tablespoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg1/8 teaspoon ground cloves1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries1/3 cup butter, softened1/2 cup skim milk2 large eggs1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in a bowl, stirring to mix. Make a well in centre of mixture.
3. Place butter and cream cheese in a medium bowl; beat with a mixr at high speed 1 minute or until blended. Add milk, eggs, and vanilla to butter mixture; beat to combine. Add butter mixture to flour mixture; stir just until moist. Gently fold in blueberries. Batter will be quite thick, the consistency of cookie batter.
4. Spoon batter into 14 muffin cups. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
