Carly's Whole Wheat Cornbread Muffins

1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour3/4 cup cornmeal1/4 cup Splenda1/4 tsp salt (optional)2 tsp baking powder1 cup nonfat milk1/4 cup sugar-free apple butter (can sub for equal amountof apple sauce or vegetable oil)1/4 cup egg substitute (can sub for 1 beaten whole egg or 2 egg whites)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, stir together all the dry ingredients, then add in the wet ingredients and stir until fully combined. Spoon into muffin pans (or muffin top pans), and bake until fully cooked, about 15 minutes.
