10 Pieces of Chicken mix of thighs and drumsticks (can use a cut up whole chicken too)1/2 medium onion sliced8 cloves of garlic peeled and crushed2-3 bay leaves whole (to pick out later)Black pepper or whole peppercorns to taste1/2 cup of vinager3/4 cup of soy sauce1/4 cup of water
Cooked in Slow Cooker for ease (set it and forget it)
My family loves the sauce so that's why there is so much liquid. Traditionally there isn't a lot of sauce. I don't like it dry but not all of the sauce is used in each servings so you can reduce the amount of sauce you use to reduce the sodium intake.
Serving size = 2 pieces of chicken
**Reduce Soy Sauce or use less of the sauce to reduce Sodium
