Bran Muffin - 1 WW Point

Ingredients
1/4 cup applesauce1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar1/4 cup molasses2 eggs, beaten1 cup skim milk1 1/2 cup bran (not cereal)1 cup whole wheat flour1 1/2 teaspoons flour1/2 teaspoon baking soda1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder1/2 cup raisins (optional); I sometimes use craisins or dried blueberries or dried cherries
Directions
Cream applesauce and brown sugar together. Add molasses and eggs. Beat well together. Add milk and then the bran. Combine dry ingredients and add to liquid ingredients. Add raisins, if desired. Bake in muffin pans at 400 F for 18-20 minutes. Makes one dozen muffins.
