Veggie Turkey Chili

Ingredients
* *Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 8 oz (remove) * *Lawry's Taco Seasoning, 6 tsp (remove) * Peppers, sweet, red, raw, sliced, 1 cup (remove) * Onions, raw, 1 large (remove) * Celery, raw, 2 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) (remove) * Canned Tomatoes, 1 can (remove) * Beans, red kidney, 2 cup (remove) * *Cumin seed, 1 tbsp (remove) * Chili powder, 1 tbsp (remove) * Carrots, raw, 1 cup, grated (remove) * *Diced tomatoes & Green Chillis Rotel, 10oz can 2.5 serv in can, 1 serving (remove) * Water, tap, 6 cup (8 fl oz) (remove) * Barley, pearled, raw, .25 cup (remove)
Directions
Saute Onion, Garlic, Bell Pepper, and Celery hot until a little browned but still crisp. Separately cook ground turkey. When browned add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Add to saute. Add all remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Let simmer one hour or until the barley is cooked and chili thickened.
For extra spice add red pepper flakes, jalapeno flakes or cayenne pepper to taste.
