16 oz. Lean ground beef8 oz. Lean ground turkey2 Large eggs, at room temperature3/4 C Milk1/2 C Oats (Gluten free)1/2 C Tomatoes, chopped1/3 C Celery, finely diced1/2 C Onion, finely diced1 Clove Garlic, minced1 T Dried basil1 T Dried thyme1 T Dried oregano1 t Salt1 t Black pepper2 T Ketchup
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a large bowl, thoroughly combine the beef and turkey. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then stir in the milk and oats. Pour egg mixture into the meat mixture and combine thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients and combine again until fully incorporated. Form into loaf in a roasting pan and brush with ketchup. Bake 45-50 minutes.
Remove to platter and keep warm while making mushroom gravy (separate recipe), or enjoy it on its own!
