1 Tbsp. margarine or butter1 cup regular long-grain white rice, uncooked1/2 cup chopped onion1 can (10.75 oz.) chicken broth1 soup can water3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1. In a 2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat, in hot butter, cook rice and onion 5 minutes or until rice starts browning and onion is tender, stirring constantly.
2. Slowly stir in broth and water. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low. Cover; cook 20 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
3. Remove from heat. Stir in Parmesan cheese.
Makes about 3 cups or 6 servings.
