Asian Wild Rice Soup

1/2 cup uncooked wild rice3 cups water1 small red bell pepper, chopped2 cups chicken or vegetable broth1 1/2 cups canned mushrooms1 1/2 cups fresh snow pea pods3 tbsp soy sauce1/4 tsp garlic powder1/4 tsp ground ginger
1. In 3qt saucepan, heat wild rice and water to boiling over high heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2. Stir in bell pepper and broth. Cook uncovered over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook uncovered over medium heat 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are crisp-tender.
