Slow Cooker Italian Chicken Alfredo

Ingredients
1 lb. skinless, boneless chicken breast meat1/4 C water1 package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix1 tsp minced garlic1 8oz package light cream cheese1 can low fat cream of chicken soup1 can mushrooms (well drained)1 Tbsp parsley
Directions
Place chicken in crockpot. Combine Italian dressing mix, garlic and water in a small bowl. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.

After 4 hours, remove chicken from crock. Whisk softened cream cheese and can of cream of chicken soup into crock. Stir in can of mushrooms (very well drained) Add chicken back to crock and stir to cover chicken with sauce.
Cover and cook on low for 1 additional hour.

Serve No-Yolk Egg Noodles. (Calories for noodles not calculated into recipe) Would also be good over rice.

1 serving equals 4 oz chicken and 1/4 of the sauce.

    A slimmed down version of the same recipe I've made many times. This tastes just as good as the full fat version! Love it! Very easy and very tasty. I served mine with whole wheat spaghetti (200 cal/serving). - 9/10/12
